December 2nd is just around the bend!

Greetings! This week we are excited to share with you our feature on rvanews!

People all around Richmond are sending support and gearing up for Winterfood. Thank you to everyone who has supported us with donations, spreading the word, and community involvement!

This sweet potato bird by Rick Butler, along with more Winterfood art will be for sale at our event to benefit The Central Virginia Foodbank and Gallery 5, a non-profit gallery that supports using the arts to promote positive social action. Buy some unique artwork to feed hungry people and to help fund Gallery 5’s need for a new roof!

Have a relaxing Holiday weekend! We hope you enjoy some yummy winter veggies.

Love,
Your friends at Project Winterfood

Community Partner Highlights

Hello everyone! Project Winterfood is coming together and we are excited about the event on December 2nd! We can’t wait to see everybody there. Here’s a couple of highlights about some of our updated community partners.

  • The Farm to Family veggie bus will be parked outside on the night of the event and also at Gallery 5 on December 4th. Hop aboard to see how they have transformed a 1987 diesel school bus into a mobile farmer’s market.
  • Complimentary food will be donated by Savor and Ipanema. We’re so pleased to have these unique Richmond restaurants join our team!
  • Laura Chessin & friends will be playing live Appalachian fiddle music for us!
  • Dominion Harvest will offer information about how you can have farm fresh foods delivered to your doorstep.
  • The Byrd House Market will have information about their Farmer’s Market located on Cherry Street in Oregon Hill.
  • Rostov’s Coffee & Tea has donated organic coffee for you to enjoy at the event.

Stay tuned for more highlights!

Love,
Your friends at Project Winterfood
