Winterfood moves to Gallery 5!

Project Winterfood made the front page of the Commonwealth Times! Pick up a copy at the VCU Library. You can also find us featured in Urban Views, and the ALR blog has a nice entry with photos from the event.

If you missed our opening at 1509 W. Main, don’t fear! You can still visit Project Winterfood at Gallery 5 through the month of December. There is still artwork to be sold so please drop by and buy a piece for only $5-$15 to benefit the Central Virginia Foodbank & Gallery 5 who needs help for a new roof!

E-mail us at info@winterfood.org if you have any questions. Have a great Winter!

Community Partner Highlights

Hello everyone! Project Winterfood is coming together and we are excited about the event on December 2nd! We can’t wait to see everybody there. Here’s a couple of highlights about some of our updated community partners.

  • The Farm to Family veggie bus will be parked outside on the night of the event and also at Gallery 5 on December 4th. Hop aboard to see how they have transformed a 1987 diesel school bus into a mobile farmer’s market.
  • Complimentary food will be donated by Savor and Ipanema. We’re so pleased to have these unique Richmond restaurants join our team!
  • Laura Chessin & friends will be playing live Appalachian fiddle music for us!
  • Dominion Harvest will offer information about how you can have farm fresh foods delivered to your doorstep.
  • The Byrd House Market will have information about their Farmer’s Market located on Cherry Street in Oregon Hill.
  • Rostov’s Coffee & Tea has donated organic coffee for you to enjoy at the event.

Stay tuned for more highlights!

Love,
Your friends at Project Winterfood
